Don't let the excitement of youth cause you to forget your Creator. Honor Him in your youth before you grow old and say, "life is not pleasant anymore". (Ecclesiastes 12:1, NLT)
Thus the goal in our Youth Ministry is to teach our young people to love and honor God; to be excited about Him from a young age until they grow old. We want them to say in their old age "life is pleasant because of God". We do not want them to have regrets as the author of the book of Ecclesiastes said "Everything is meaningless" (12:8, NLT) at the end of his life. Therefore, the Vision or Purpose of our Youth Ministry is:
- To guide the young people to LOVE God (Love => Worship)
- To GROW in their faith (Growth => Discipleship)
- To REACH out (Reach => Ministry)
- To IMPACT their community (Impact => Fellowship)
- To INFLUENCE their generation (Influence => Evangelism and Missions)
Our vision/purpose of ministry is based on The Greatest Commandment (Matthew 22:37-40) and The Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20), which is also in line with our Church Vision and Mission Statement.
Our Youth fellowship is on Saturday evenings from 7:30-9:30pm at the church, Krokop Evangelical Church (KEC). Our activities include ice breaking games, great worship, prayer and study of the WORD. Besides our regular Saturday meetings we also have other activities like birthday celebrations, sports, picnics, youth camp etc.
So you young people that need fellowship and friendship, come join our fellowship because we care for you and want to meet you.
